Women’s month is upon us and what better way for Thaiholics Fight Promotions to celebrate than by putting South Africa’s nak muay ying front and centre? TFP 8: Full Throttle will see four of the country’s best up-and-coming female super bantamweight fighters square off in the promotion’s first 4-fighter elimination tournament. Fighters will have to win their opening semi-final bouts to progress to the tournament final, to be contested later on the same night! On the line is the SA Pro-Am super bantamweight belt and bragging rights of being the best 56kg female fighter in the Pro-Am ranks.

In the first semi-final bout, Thaiholics Cape Town’s Verné Prinsloo faces off against Durbanite Candice Lewis, from Domination Gym. Then, Iron Tiger’s Frances Marais squares off against Camp Fight’s Jamie Theunissen. It’s all to fight for as these women look to stamp their names on the silverware.

The TFP 8 fight card will have a total of 12 action-packed fights in store for fans, including the elimination tournament. The card will consist of junior and senior amateur openers followed by pro-am clashes and concluding with 2 professional bouts on the main card.

Two bouts in the pro-am divisions fans should definitely keep an eye out for are the return of BCI’s Luan Venter, who will look to get back to winning form when he faces off against Venters MMA’s Ezrah Perrang; and what promises to be a sensational all-out war between The Art of Thai’s Nuraan Noordien and Camp Fight’s Zoe Klaasen.

On the main card, South African Pro-Am Super Lightweight champion, Michael Bezuidenhout will put his title on the line once more as he faces off against Pride Fighting Academy’s Denver Isaacs in their much-anticipated clash. Then, the final bout of the 4-fighter elimination tournament will take centre stage before the professionals enter the arena.

In the final two bouts, to be contested under World Muay Thai Organisation (WMO) professional rules, two of Cape Town’s favourite nak muay sons, Rafel Wozniak and Shane Deacon, square off against Fighters Inc’s Emmanuel Mukenge and Viper MMA’s Timothy Steenkamp, respectively. Expect fireworks as the pros look to cement their legacy on the biggest muay thai promotion in the country!
